Someone once asked me "How do you stay a successful business for over 20 years?" I told him hmmmm.....don't ever become an a**hole! He laughed as I smiled at him but I was serious. I have always looked at every client as the individuals they are and wanted to produce my best work for them. We all have good and bad days at work, but I have always said that your level of photography should never showcase your bad day...every client deserves the BEST YOU!
I had 2 weddings this past weekend and each of them have stories about their weddings that no one else has. I am still the hopeless romantic who sees the larger picture of my job. I know these aren't just pictures I'm creating, it's much much more! Your subject in front of you is living their moment and you are capturing it to show the world. I think too many photographers these days have gotten big heads because of a little success and popularity. You are not successful because your image on Instagram got a hundred likes...YOU are successful because people see how much you LOVE what you do and you treat them like people...not a client.
So I leave you today with this one thought I'd like you to follow from here on out.
