The best way for me to explain Shelby and Jonathan to you is to just show you the images! :)
I love it when a guy is cool enough to have his Iphone in his pocket playing music they can dance to. The movement these two gave me was inspiring. When I don't have to pose every single frame I get the chance to allow moments to happen. I like to nudge the couple to have fun and be the "Couple" they are for their engagement session. I know many people aren't comfortable in front of the camera because their expectations of themselves are so high but not sure if they can deliver. I always take the approach of spying on you as if you were on a date or just taking a stroll.
Shelby and Jonathan have that fun delightful spark you like seeing in a happy couple. I think we laughed together more than we tried posing certain ways. A woman smiles and grins a certain way when her man is whispering in her ear, holding her waist or simply looking into her eyes. These are the aspects I like to showcase in my wedding photography, not a pose or a lighting feature...I want my clients to show me the love. The following images are just a few of my favs. I'm working on a video to better showcase how I do...what I do for my You tube channel.
This is Ainsley. She is as sweet of a person as she looks in the images. I always love it when my clients bring props or anything in general that applies to you and your personality. The more you bring to the table, the more genuine your imagery will be. The day was absolutely stunning as the golden sun painted the background for us to work in. Every outfit Ainsley wore was eye catching and trendy. This is always a plus because instantly you become a model. You don't need a ton of outfits just 3 or 4 that really showcase you and your style. Ainsley I Thank You for creating your senior casual experience with me. :)
Hey why should the seniors have all the fun. I'm excited to showcase what the Juniors can do! You can bring your friends, have hair and makeup and be treated as a model in our studio. Being glamorous is so much fun with friends!

I am so in LOVE with my city when it comes to variety of backgrounds for my photography! I am starting an Etsy.com page for my New Orleans imagery printed on fine art paper. All of the above images were captured on Kodak Portra 400 film and a Mamiya medium format camera. Big shout out to Millers Lab for the wonderful scans. All of the images are straight out of the camera...no Photoshop required.
With so many unique colors in the Quarter I can find just about any background that will work with an outfit. How cool is the above image of Jessica against the door which is " just about matching colors of her dress"???
For the past several years I have been proudly working with some of the best vendors in the city. Vendors such as floral artists, lighting companies, planner/designers, catering, transportation, etc. just to name a few, are great to collaborate a styled photo shoot with. I love creating something together that is unique and at times over the top. It's actually a fantastic way for me to see what are their strong points and how creative can they be? I think it's awesome to get a fabulous makeup artist and tell them to run free with their imagination! I think it's fun to do things super unique with no boundaries like when you have a paying client. We are all artists that strive to be different and set ourselves apart from the rest. Well this is my way of creating those opportunities and we all get fantastic images to share for publication and advertising!
If you are a fellow creative and you would like to collaborate with me, just send me a message and lets create something fabulous together!
DID YOU KNOW YOU ONLY HAVE TO GO TO THE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE YEAR BOOK IMAGE?
This is Natalie. Natalie chose downtown New Orleans for her casual senior portraits. Natalie will have images that truly showcase herself and her city. Natalie and GK created some amazing images together while enjoying the relaxing scenery. Natalie was a model for the day. Natalie has beautiful images to share. :)
