Lauren and I utilized the beautiful day we had at City Park to it's fullest. I love to find little nooks that nobody else uses for my photography. The quality off light was just beautiful as it sculpted Lauren and her gown. These 2 images were the most voted on through my Facebook Live Voting broadcast.

DID YOU KNOW YOU ONLY HAVE TO GO TO THE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE YEAR BOOK IMAGE?
This is Natalie. Natalie chose downtown New Orleans for her casual senior portraits. Natalie will have images that truly showcase herself and her city. Natalie and GK created some amazing images together while enjoying the relaxing scenery. Natalie was a model for the day. Natalie has beautiful images to share. :)

This beautiful creature is Cindy. She is a good friend of mine with an awesome outlook on life. When she mentioned she had a work of art on her back I just knew I had to photograph her. The amount of time and passion that went into this tattoo is incredible. All of the deep colors, the transitions, the way it is formed to her body is just stunning. The verbiage in the tattoo is also the way of life here in New Orleans. If you are a New Orleanian then in your soul lives these statements. We are proud to live life to it's fullest and our actions show it. Our right of passage for being called the Big Easy is two fold. We work hard and party harder. When we have down time we love and enjoy every scent, every laugh and all that is creative! This is the real meaning to the term the "Big Easy" - knowing when to enjoy all that you have and all that you are, then create a celebration that supports our way of thinking. Jazz fest is one of many festivals that do just that. We celebrate our cultures and our passions and we love to share it with everyone else.
Cindy's tattoo is beautiful in every sense of the word and today my photography captured her essence. For this I am grateful as a fellow artist. This image completes my week! -GK
This image was taken with my Mamiya 645 and Kodak Portra 400 film. We were done with the posed imagery with all of her girls and as we were walking away I saw this image happening right in front of my eyes. I had my medium format camera already in my hands so I just had to squeeze off a quick shot. I love film for the simplest of reasons, NO PHOTOSHOP! This image was scanned by #Richardphotolab
What I love about photographing weddings is the fun I get to have with beautiful people. Who can look at this picture and not see the beauty the art of the flowers and the dress and the wonderful lighting that just brings the whole image together as it is same here. What you don't see on the huge windows behind me that are producing the beautiful soft light that is entering the room and softly exposing my beautiful bridesmaids. Since the windows behind me are to the left into the right and from another room the soft light coming across the girls really shows the texture of the dresses the flowers in their hair styles. Whenever I walk on site to a job and it is evident on all of the effort and work and artistry that went into the subjects before you, you know the best work is the only option possible. You know when Tiger Woods is on TV and you want him hit 300+ yard drive, he makes it look easy. We all know that level of golf that Tiger plays is not easy at all. Since he makes it look easy, everyone wants to be a pro golfer. Photography is the same way if we make it look easy then we are doing our jobs.
