Happy Birthday Julia!

14  years ago Elizabeth and I were blessed to welcome our first child into this crazy world...Julia.  It's so cool to see parts of your personality in your children.  Julia was born 5 weeks early, under 5 pounds and we cried as we held this itsy bitsy beautiful baby girl in our arms.  Elizabeth and I had to come home without her because she had to stay in the NICU for 9 days.  It was hard seeing other young parents come in the same time as use and leave the hospital before us.  I always say that God has a plan and at times you just need to roll with it.

Well 14 years later Julia is that same beautiful girl who knows how to fight to be in this world. Her love for theater has inspired me to be more of an artist and keep being the shinning star that we both are.  She sure doesn't need me to shine...she does that all on her own.  Her silly personality will have you laughing, her passionate attitude will keep you on your toes and when you look at her you never want to look away.  

Julia is beautiful and strong-willed like her mom and outgoing with an artsy flare like me.  I'm so excited to SLOWLY watch my baby girl become a woman.  

As a father I can tell you it's not TIME you need to worry about...it's how many moments you are creating with your kids?
