Holidays are here now what?

The holiday season is bittersweet for me because it's also our busiest time of the year. It's hard for me to get into the spirit of Christmas when I'm rushing every day to get work done for my clients. I was watching the news this morning noticing all of the credit card swiping to quickly get gifts for Christmas.  I am quickly reminded how the spirit of Christmas can easily be lost.  So many aspects of holidays have been engraved in our brains to sometimes celebrate the wrong thing. Take for example Easter, kids know the Easter bunny and candy But it's really about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Santa Claus does refer to an actual Chris Cringle, But a big jolly dude in a red suit and a white beard bringing you presents while you sleep will take presidents over the birth of Jesus Christ in a child's mind.   The same thing goes with Halloween but there is always something special about these holidays that seem to instill in all of us. It's the spirit of family and celebrating these holidays together in as many ways as we can.

So even though we love Santa Clause, it is our privilege as parents to show all aspects of the holiday to our children, So they Can keep the holiday traditions alive from generation to generation. Every holiday gives us a pause moment throughout the year for families to be together and celebrate life. I know many of you are going through tough times whether it is financial or losing a family member for the holidays they can make it very trying time.  Spend time with the ones you love And never take a breath of air for granted.

Tonight I am bringing my eight-year-old son Jack to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. I have never been so this is exciting for both of us. He is a little rocker as I am. We were watching older videos from Just a few years ago and I am constantly reminded how much change happens in such a short amount of time.  This blog and my YouTube channel or called focused with GK. I enjoy motivating others to experience the creative one positive things this life offers. The single greatest experience this lifetime has two offer is the human experience.  Your soul has a journey That only applies to you as an individual yet your journey will always include fellow human beings in your life and how they affect you. Knowing you have this great power don't you feel obligated to be the superhero of Love, respect and positivity?  My lifetime may not render it self to all of humanity coming to grips with peace, love and respect but working towards that goal should be something we are all aware of.

Today as we prepare for the holidays remember the importance of friends and family and celebrate them on the best way you can. I truly pray  we all have a wonderful holiday season and we emerge on the backend with wonderful stories of how we spent it with the ones we love the most.  So grab your camera and take as many pictures as you can because even though we cannot change the past we can take a picture of the present and celebrate our moments in the future. That is my superhero power when I hold my camera. I know I am a visual historian and I take that job to hart.  Have a wonderful closing of 2017 and I will see you soon discussing our amazing journey we have planned for 2018. This is going to be a huge year and I cannot wait to share it with you!!!
