The Photographic Journey
by, George Kuchler
The one piece of advice I will never forget is; "If you love your job you'll never work a day in your life!"
For many of my days this is so true. I love the greater cause to what my job can be at times. Some people see a camera and a business. I have always seen the bigger purpose to WHY I'm a photographer. If you love photography than you love the act of capturing a moment, or creating an image you cannot wait to show the world. For me, each photograph will out live myself way beyond my years. I know it sounds silly to some, but I always work a job as if it's my last. After all, if you aren't always doing your best work, then you are just snapping pictures. The getting paid part of the business is what supports your life and your career.
This week I had two weddings to develop, a few orders on my desk that need to get to the lab, two or three albums that need to be designed, and in the middle of all of this, find time to post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, do a freaking Snapchat, and if by the grace of God I have time... do something for Periscope!!! hahahaha :)
How do I know that I am doing what I was meant to do? The simple fact that when I wake up in the morning I am super excited to try and get all of these accomplished with a smile on my face because I truly LOVE MY JOB!
Then I get to see this awesome video of my buddy George Dean and his lovely bride to be seeing their engagement session here in New Orleans! Too Cool!!!
