The Photographic Journey
by, George Kuchler
In my lifetime I have never seen so many big hurricanes in one year. I think its a reminder that every day shouldn't be taken for granted. Getting older feels like time to accomplish all you want to do in life, is getting shorter and shorter. I'm not gonna lie...many days I'm living the dream. As a musician I wanted to be a rock star and experience all the things in life us normal people normally do not.
Well photography has given me my backstage pass for everything. I live through my clients who have more than me and I'm thankful. I am a witness to life events that impact the story of peoples lives and I'm thankful. I have the most amazing friends in many different industries for which I can also experience along side them and I am thankful.
I have captured imagery for local tv and radio celebrities, NFL players, politicians, bands, weddings, newborns, families, high school seniors, business brands and many many more. This is NOT a brag post by any means. I do however want you to take away one thing from this post.
This October 1st is my business golden birthday of 23. I was 23 years old when I decided to open GK Photography and this October 1st is 23 years in business. I saw the impact I could have on people one at a time, unlike the famous song I could have written as a musician where millions would know that song yet not know me as a person, I chose the harder route and put forth all the effort required to get the job done.
I am most proud of "Doing the Work" and never changed who I am as a person. Many days the job has been hard. I've had many failures but more successes which keeps me going.
I want you to find your drive! Decide to do something today you think is impossible. Do something today that you can talk about in 23 years you will be proud of.
NOTHING REPLACES HARD WORK! SUCCESS IS NOT YOUR END RESULT...IT'S JUST PART OF THE JOB!
